LEGEND coffee mug
In the beginning there were roads… Now there’s LEGEND.
Celebrating the history prior to the European invasion back in 1636. Based on the Charles Hopkins map (1886) of Benefit Street circa 1650ish, this mug is inspired by the long time status of Providence as a crossroads for cultural sharing and trade. Note the routes that are still in use today including the Louisquisset Trail, the Wampanoag Trail and others. We often think of this time as the beginning of everything, this is hardly the case. The people who proceeded us here at the confluence of the Moshassuck and Woonasquatucket Rivers and who greeted Roger Williams witht he words “What Cheer Netop?” had it on lock.
